You may block the course of water, stack sandbags and build walls of concrete; yet somehow it will always find a crack and continue to flow freely. Its journey will inevitably meet new obstacles and at times become clouded — this has always been so. And despite knowing this, “crimes against water” continue to be committed in this country.
This work tells the story of those who have made the journey of water their own, and of those who navigate every kind of current. A suitcase is opened, and whatever spills out will, in time, find its own fissures.
In honour of World Theatre Day on 27 March, we welcomed the play “You Are Not a Fish” to our school. Following the performance, Mihran Tomasyan held a discussion with our students about the themes of the play. We extend our sincere thanks to him for this powerful and memorable experience.
