Our Armenian Language and Literature Department, a strong academic field that sustains cultural continuity through language, literature, and creative production, is one of the fundamental pillars that preserves our school’s historical and cultural identity. By enriching mother-tongue education with contemporary educational approaches, the department aims to ensure that our students internalize the language in both its academic and cultural dimensions. In our classes, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills are addressed through a holistic approach, within an active, production-based, and student-centered learning environment. The instructional practices carried out in our department are designed to enable students to use Armenian not merely as a language of instruction, but as a language of thought and expression. To this end, text analysis, creative writing, oral expression activities, and cultural readings form an integral part of the learning process. Our students’ analytical thinking skills, cultural awareness, and linguistic confidence are systematically nurtured and strengthened.
Among the department’s distinguished initiatives is the Armenian Short Story Writing Festival. In addition, through the HAYMUN organization, we support our students in using Armenian effectively in thematic and academic discussion settings. Poetry Reading Days further enable our students to connect with the rich poetic tradition of Armenian literature.

The Social Sciences Department brings together the disciplines of philosophy, history and geography with the aim of helping students understand the world through a multidimensional, critical and holistic perspective. The curriculum is carefully structured to develop critical thinking, ethical inquiry, logical analysis, historical awareness and geographical literacy in an integrated manner. In lessons, events and ideas are explored through cause-and-effect relationships, conceptual analysis and contemporary contexts. Students are systematically prepared in alignment with YKS learning outcomes in philosophy, history and geography, ensuring a strong academic foundation.
Throughout the year, debates, workshops, interdisciplinary academic events, as well as museum and heritage site visits are organised. These activities enable students to structure, defend and debate their ideas, while also experiencing historical and cultural heritage first-hand.
The department supports students in becoming intellectually engaged, socially responsible and academically accomplished individuals, equipped to contribute thoughtfully to both their academic paths and wider society.
The Science Department delivers an experiential and practice-based programme that directly prepares students for the YKS science learning outcomes. In lessons, theoretical knowledge is integrated with laboratory experiments and hands-on applications carried out within the school grounds.
The vegetable garden area on campus — including planting, harvesting, composting and natural fertiliser projects, enables students to learn biology and environmental sciences through direct experience. Laboratory work further strengthens their ability to formulate hypotheses, conduct systematic observation and interpret results with scientific rigour.
The annual Science Day event encourages interdisciplinary projects, providing students with the opportunity to present and share their scientific work across a range of fields. The Science Department integrates scientific thinking, YKS achievement and lifelong learning skills, fostering students who are both academically prepared and intellectually curious.
The Mathematics Department operates within an educational framework that is directly aligned with YKS mathematics and geometry learning outcomes, while fostering analytical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills. The curriculum is implemented in accordance with the Türkiye Maarif Model and is fully integrated with structured assessment and evaluation processes. In lessons, students develop the ability to generate multiple solution pathways, apply logical reasoning and think strategically. Logic games and applied problem-solving activities further enhance students’ concentration, creativity and abstract reasoning abilities.

In our English classes, we aim to nurture our students not only as individuals who learn a language, but as individuals who understand different cultures, respect diversity, and develop a strong sense of global citizenship. In today’s globalized world, we believe that learning a language means being able to build empathy, understand diverse perspectives, and remain open to universal values. With this understanding, we create an inclusive and multicultural learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to express themselves.
In our English program, we focus not only on the four core language skills, reading, writing, listening, and speaking, but also on essential 21st-century competencies such as critical thinking, media literacy, conceptual analysis, and academic expression. We encourage students to engage with texts thoughtfully and analytically, evaluating them within their historical, cultural, and intellectual contexts. Through texts selected from diverse cultures, authors, and disciplines, we support students in developing an open-minded, multifaceted, and well-informed perspective on the world.
Our grammar and writing instruction goes beyond memorizing rules; it serves to help students structure and deepen their thinking. We approach writing as a process through which students explore and develop their own ideas, strengthening their academic reading and writing skills accordingly. By incorporating inclusive practices that are sensitive to different learning styles and individual differences, we provide a learning experience in which every student can reach their full potential. In addition to classroom instruction, we encourage students to use English actively and productively through discussions, debates, presentations, and interdisciplinary projects, allowing them to express their ideas in an original and respectful manner. One of our key initiatives is the annual TGT – Tibrevank Global Talks event, where students deliver talks on global issues in English, enhancing both their academic confidence and their ability to think and communicate on international topics.
Beginning in Grade 11, our IELTS preparation program is designed not only to prepare students for an exam, but also to equip them for university education, international academic applications, and global communication environments. We also support our students’ participation in Model United Nations conferences, encouraging them to discuss global issues in English, understand diverse perspectives, and develop solution-oriented thinking. Through this experience, students use academic English in real-world contexts while strengthening their confidence, diplomacy, and critical thinking skills.
As the English Department, we view English not merely as a subject, but as a life skill that enables thinking, understanding the world, appreciating cultural diversity, and expressing oneself. Our goal is to ensure that our students carry the language beyond the classroom—using it confidently in their academic lives, in international settings, and throughout their own intellectual journeys—while growing into responsible and conscious individuals in a multicultural world.
Within our second foreign language programme, students are offered German and Spanish. The aim of these courses extends beyond developing linguistic competence; they are designed to foster intercultural awareness, cultivate a sense of global citizenship, and provide a strong foundation for students’ academic and professional aspirations. Delivered through a communicative and culture-focused approach, these lessons support the development of multilingual proficiency while broadening students’ intellectual horizons and global outlook.
The Arts Department is dedicated to nurturing students’ creative and aesthetic capacities. Through lessons and projects, students strengthen their powers of expression and performance by participating in the school choir, art exhibitions, theatre club productions staged at Christmas and the end of the academic year, and dance club performances.
Artistic work is integrated with interdisciplinary projects and academic content, enabling students to achieve success both in their YKS preparation and in broader cultural production. The Arts Department aims to cultivate intellectually productive, aesthetically aware and creatively engaged individuals equipped to meet the demands of the contemporary world.
Our school’s traditional Sports Festival is designed to support students’ physical, mental and social development. Activities focused on balance and coordination, alongside team sports and individual events, enhance students’ motor skills while fostering responsibility and collaboration.
