On Friday, 16 May, we visited the Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research Centre with our Year 10 students.

During this visit, where we explored questions such as “What is nanotechnology?”, “What is it used for?” and “Why are things so small so important?”, our students had the opportunity to closely examine scientific research across a wide range of fields, including materials science, biotechnology, energy, environmental studies, healthcare and electronics.

We toured modern laboratories, learned how an electron microscope operates and, in essence, sought to see the unseen and gain a deeper understanding of the known.

Once again, we demonstrated that learning at our school extends far beyond the classroom. By bringing our students together with university environments and the world of science at every opportunity, we integrate education into real life.

These visits, carefully planned in alignment with the curriculum, are an essential part of both our long-standing educational tradition and our forward-looking vision for the future.

We extend our sincere thanks for the presentation and the warm welcome.
