At Haycar's initiative, the commemoration of members of the Balyan family in Bağlarbaşı Cemetery.

As in previous years, members of the Balyan family were commemorated at Bağlarbaşı Cemetery through an initiative led by Haycar.

Today, on 4 October, Haycar members, together with students and teachers from community schools, gathered around the Balyan family mausoleum. A religious service was conducted under the presidency of His Beatitude Sahak II, Armenian Patriarch of Turkey. The ceremony was also attended by the Mayor of Üsküdar, Ms Sinem Dedetaş.

During the commemoration, the immortal Armenian poets Mateos Zarifyan and Bedros Tourian were likewise remembered. Our students read selected poems by Zarifyan and Tourian as part of the ceremony.
