To mark the International Day of the Girl Child on 11 October, our Year 10 students took part in a meaningful and heartfelt activity. As part of our ongoing eTwinning project, Girls’ Shine 2 – Rose and Candle, students joined their teachers in a special rose-planting initiative.

With great care, they pruned the roses in our school garden and lovingly replanted them in pots, giving each one new life. These young plants are now being nurtured under the guidance of their teachers and will soon be planted in the garden to take root and flourish.

These roses represent far more than flowers. They symbolise the strength, hope and lasting impact of girls and young women. Each one stands as a quiet yet powerful expression of belief in the future and in the voices of the next generation.
