Mehmet Naci Akoz's Seminar in Our School

A Day Brought to Life with Kites!

Today, we were delighted to welcome Mr Mehmet Naci Aköz, President of the Istanbul Kite Association and Founder of the Istanbul Kite Museum, to our school.

Our Year 10 students had the opportunity to learn about the historical development of kites and their connection to technology and science.

As part of the event, a vibrant kite exhibition was displayed throughout our school corridors and hall. In addition, our students took part in a hands-on workshop, where they experienced the process of making a traditional “sivriburun” (pointed-nose) kite. At the end of the workshop, all students were presented with kite-making materials as a gift.
